Actually they are for coons but if set in early season expect possums too.... View one is looking straight into the bucket... Use whatever bait you want I used my bait as example but a big chunk of fish and a little fox call lure drizzled in is what I use late season. View two shows it set in a typical location... See how I run the chain up and stake through it and the bucket, this keeps the trap there with the catch and stabilizes the bucket so when the coons climb on it it won't flip. View three shows a side view of the set... You can see how deep the slots are cut in the sides. I also drill a hole in the top and bottom for the stake and several in the bottom to allow the scent out of the bucket. I also try to prop the front of the bucket up 2-4" so the coons can see in easier. Good luck on your possum line. ~ADC~
