Lure And Bait Container Resources

Over the many years that I have trapped, I would occasionally like to get more glass lure bottles and jars. I always used and liked the different sizes of the amber (brown) medicine bottles that I could get cheap at any local drug store back then.
I had some of my own gland lures, and always dispensed it at a red fox dirt hole set from a one or two ounce, "square" medicine bottle with a glass eye dropper in it. That was all before cyberspace was ever invented.
That glass bottle resource seems to no longer exist from all of the local drug stores where I have checked within a near 40 mile radius. I was told that: "We use all plastic now. eyedroppers included. We haven't used or seen the brown glass containers in years."
Those declarations left me with a heavy heart, as I was in the early stages of formulating and putting up a wide variety of new lures and bait for myself.
So.......A few years ago I did an extensive Google search looking for the older, brown medicine bottles and jars, and found them - along with an assortment of other practical containers for my use interests at what I thought to be very reasonable prices.
I realized that a few of the trapping supply dealerships carried lure bottles and containers, but not what I was looking for, and without much of a variety.
Here are a few sources that I have purchased from when looking for the specialty containers I was seeking, and more:
Plastic & Glass Bottles
Boston Rounds
SKS Bottles
If you look through the menus on these sites, you should be able to find just about any glass or plastic container you may be looking for. If nothing else, use these for comparative shopping to the offerings from the trapping supply houses. I doubt if any offer such a variety of choices.
Do not overlook the eBay potential - search "containers," "glass jars," "glass bottles," "plastic jars," and "plastic bottles." You may be pleasantly surprised. I know I was when I bought a few cases of different containers very, very cheap - even with shipping factored. Many of the sellers must have been selling overstock, or discontinued items in their inventory. Some of the deals were profound - cheap!
Just for the fun of it, I just went to eBay and dug this up to peek at with a search for "Plastic Bottles" - just an example of my mention earlier.
Containers On Ebay
Don't look at the regular listings in the middle of the page. Rather, carefully scroll down the left side of the page for the listings in those menus. Anything you may be looking for just might live there somewhere.
Good luck if you decide to go shopping. If you cannot find what you're looking for anywhere here, it probably isn't made.
