I have been finishing some mink the last few days and thought I would share what I do and how I do it. Hope there are some helpful hints you can use. Always start with clean dry fur. After brushing I use a pair of pruning snips to remove the front legs just below the knee. Here is the area I skin mink in. It show the vice grips for holding mink during the skinning process and the 60P spike I use to slide under the fur on the back legs then pull and the fur is removed from the back legs. There is a knife used to open and remove glands and one for the head. I like the metal tail stripper and the fur brush to brush the fur before skinning. The opening cut has been made from heel to heel just below the testicals. Spike slid between meat and fur ready to be pulled off Glands exposed ready to remove and save Skinned mink on fleshing beam with draw knife Nose rest in boarding area Boarding of mink. Notice it is hands free using the nose rest and my hip to hold board Mink boarded and ready to trim lip, front legs and window Trimming done. Nice neat appearence and no sharp edges Tack tail using cardboard Finished mink and belly board Good luck finishing your mink Gene
