some ways of anchoring the snare if using a drag attach trap link to snare cable or run snare cable Thur trap link so when trap falls off you won't loose trap unset trap lift pan and place spacer bar between jaws compress springs and hook in catch spread jaws apart and hook safety place snare in trap and replace spacer bar under pan flip dog and set pan, bed trap and sift dirt( safety hook will save snapped fingers) when finished take safety off and blend When animal steps on pan trap grabs foot with snare above animal jumps back, snare tightens animal struggles releasing springs( for easier release for foxes spring catches can be filed down) leaving snare on animal's foot what I like about these traps is long springs so bed solid, safety hooks to pack dirt in around trap and if I can't check next day I set the safeties and spring trap, doesn't ruin set as bad, next time reset as usual; lighter to carry, small jaws so trap springs faster, the trap part usually get pushed to edge of catch circle so less beat up. I only thing I don't like is have to dig a bigger bed than coil-spring. One of my coyotes
